THE LIVE MIXTAPE
Kristina Marie, our Creative Director has a vision for 2025. FRONT PAGE NEWS MUSIC is on its 6th year of creating live concert experiences with our unique 3 Acts in 1 Night format. What's next?
With international partners, we will create a kind of musical collaboration whereby a singer-songwriter from act 1 produces a new music set with one of the artists in act 2 --- or someone in act 2 collaborates with a musician in act 3. This produces a memorable night that is completely collaborative, not just musician taking their turn, and biding their turn to play next. The audience loves it. The artists thrive with new meaningful collaborations. Artists and audiences love it. Keen to investigate? Contact us for a chat.
KRISTINA MARIE, Creative Director and Resident VJ
In 2025 We test "The Live Mixtape" format we seem to have come across accidentally after the last 7 concerts in Barcelona.
WHAT IS "LIVE MIXTAPE?"
Imagine three totally different acts, in one event. For 6 years that's what Front Page News Barcelona has been doing. In 2025 we aim to collaborate with international partners startign with The Hague.
This new style is not a jam, not just a concert. It's almost like producing a live mixtape performance with (almost) no pauses — even the interludes are songs.
In this page you find my Team of 4 so far. Artists totally open and skilled for this type of collaboration.

Let's create something stellar.
Experiencing Lila March live is like witnessing the crazy love child of Joan Baez and Bjork come alive to touch your heart with words and melodies. She worked with Front Page News since 2022, but as a consistently hardworking artist, Lila also writes articles in Catalan and Spanish. A valuable help to Front Page News as we grow. We helped her release HOWL 6 months after it dropped, with our marketing tactics creating 10k+ organic streams
HOWL, like all of Lila's songs, is based on her personal life, Raw emotions based on the quintessential experiences she lives for. This song feels like the moral of a fable extracted from a poet who sings a lullaby of existence.
LIAM CLOUD and BRYAN CURTIS have been playing live in concerts together for as long as Liam has been a professional musician-- since 2016.
BRYAN CURTIS has been my personal favourite since the beginning of time. Things change but this hasn't much! Stephen Gentilalli, (pictured here) was Liam's original Bass Player-- then Joseph Harris picked it up with his 8-string Bass. Now it's Jeff Santana on Bass, recorded with Liam on Guitar, Bryan on Drums, Kaku on Keys. Bryan was the first person Kristina approached in 2018 : To become the Resident Drummer of Front Page News
Known for his fluid style and open ears Bryan performs with dozens of artists across Spain, ranging from jazz to pop. Serving the music and helping to create the artist’s vision come to life is his priority, regardless of genre.
LILA MARCH AND HECTOR ALCANTARA
Lila March has performed with many different bands and session artists, but similarly to Liam Cloud and Bryan Curtis: Hector Alcantara has been the Drummer that stayed. Creative & passionate drummer-percussionist with 13 years of experience skilled in arranging original musical pieces for professional artists. Specialized in alternative and progressive rock Hector has played in a lot of different projects throughout the years, perfecting his skills and adapting to a lot of different styles. As a drummer, he has a distinctly different style to Bryan Curtis.
His classic drummer training and thirst for collaboration makes him the perfect addition to our Live MixTape
LIAM CLOUD and KRISTINA MARIE co-created the idea for "The Live Mixtape"
Liam is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, mad guitarist, and epic lyricist. With a vocal range that is wide and powerful, audiences are moved by his unique singing style—switching effortlessly from a sort of soft-spoken verse, to dramatic highs.
His original music touches on everything from Singer-songwriter, Blues and R & B, to Funk and Indie Pop.
Liam is from New Zealand, London, Manila (and Pluto). His latest releases include Heavy and Blink. The journey was insanely brief for "Heavy" to get from the artist getting smitten, to lyrics written and song recorded. A love story epitomised in 8 days from inspiration to mix.
"Blink" is a funky pop song released in 2022. It's a cheeky love ultimatum, with a vibe that elicits the fun rush of a fresh love affair. It also —quite emphatically—speaks of self-worth; the value one attaches to their love and devotion.
In between those two songs he also released a Live Session EP in Spotify and all the usual places. The 5-Song album when played without shuffling tells a very personal tale: Love story moments from giddy infatuation and long distance love; to profound loss. Unique and raw. Every chord strikes emotive truths— with genius guitar solos where words can no longer be spoken.
The EP is a live session with his band Bryan Curtis on Drums (from Ireland), Jeff Santana (Brazil) on Bass, and Kaku (Argentina) on Keys. Recorded Live in Sol de Sants Barcelona. The band's palpable connection is felt deeply in this EP.

#artistcall
This project has snowballed into a larger version of its former self, compared to the first time we did events in Barcelona a couple of years ago. Some people journey a hell of a long way to find themselves where they are at this point in time. Reaching for (previously) impossible goals, and dreaming pretty outlandish dreams as we speak.
We have quite a few "radio head aliens" that have already put their hand up to help with this mammoth of a project. Photographers, videographers, marketeers, artists, lovely humans. Watch this space for more about them in the coming weeks...
