Recent Live Set Recordings we produced got artists discovered by new video viewers, bookings overseas, and even strong interest from global promoters and festival tours. Not everyone needs that (yet). Let's chat about how we co-create
First: Please accept our apologies if you felt like any of us were ghosting you in August. We melted, basically, and took the whole damn month off (Sorry!) This was, after all, the first year in 8 years when we even had any events past April.
Why have there (ordinarily) been no Summer events, you ask? Too many people leave the city as soon as humidity goes past 40% therefore making events not-so-viable-- unless it's outdoors. Too many musicians and venue owners go South to escape the ridiculous heat. I am part of this exodus as I have literally heard myself sound like a royal bitch when faced with a day of extreme Summer Day heat in this city I love. It's like wilfully walking into a wood-fired oven. I won't be here in Summer 2027, that's for sure.
Calling Our Future Eventing Collaborators
I bring it up now not to whinge about it...but to announce (and invite) artist collectives in cities like Galicia, Amsterdam, or even Denver for instance, to connect with us this year; so we can bring you our musical stylings in 2027--and feature YOUR local artists also. I will create unique visual mixes for each artist. Message me about this!
What the hell is a Schmooze?
FPN Schmoozes in the manner by which we design them present two beautiful artists and a community of music-loving folk. The musicians perform full concerts where they invite (schmooze) with other artists they trust to collaborate with them onstage. We invite artists and music lovers to join us!
How can you? Therein lies challenge number one: Many of us have come to expect that a Live Musician comes with our drink, artfully replacing the now defunct maraschino cherry that once graced a lovely cocktail. Tsk tsk tsk, and so we do the drunken chatter and clicking glasses thing...the artists' lyrics lost in the din.
If you came to last Saturday's event, you'll notice the slight change in atmosphere when the singers sang and did their thing.

What is a Front Page News Schmooze?
While the word has several different meanings, in a concert setting it is a highly positive, social art form. Here's what to expect:
Fan Bonding and Schmoozing: We highly encourage letting the artists sing their hearts out without noise and chatter from the audience, but striking up enthusiastic conversations with the person you want to schmooze about your favourite tracks or past tours....you can do so upstairs or during the breaks and interludes.
Respectful Artist Engagement: Chatting briefly with the team upstairs (away from the concert) to discuss future collaborations and upcoming drops and events that need a bit more love and audience discovery!
Industry Community Building: Exchanging upcoming releases with local promoters and curators who design unique event nights, venue staff, and fellow musicians to stay plugged into the local music scene.
